IGNOU BCom Credit System

As we all know, IGNOU has implemented a credit system in the BCom program in which the candidates have to earn a total of 132 credits to obtain the IGNOU BCom certificate. Therefore, each of the BCom courses will have an appropriate number of credits that you will earn only after you complete the particular subject. The BCom candidates can get to know about the total number of credits that they need to earn to become eligible for the IGNOU BCom degree certificate.

    1. For IGNOU’s B.Com (General) program, the first semester syllabus includes the following courses:

      Financial Accounting (BCOC-131) – 6 credits
      Business Organization and Management (BCOC-132) – 6 credits
      Ability Enhancement Compulsory Course (AECC) – 4 credits
      Modern Indian Language (MIL) – 6 credits

      To successfully complete the semester, you will need to earn 22 credits. Each course plays a key role in building foundational knowledge in commerce and management.
